Who is Reservoir High School

Reservoir District Secondary College is committed to providing a learning environment that enables all students to achieve their full potential. We assist students to develop skills that prepare them for further studies, for training courses or for the world of work. We actively encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning. Our student numbers allow us to offer a wide range of subjects. Reservoir District Secondary College offers courses which will equip students to go on to university, training or employment. We offer Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses which enable students to complete their VCE and at the same time earn TAFE credits. Those students who do not intend to go on to further education or training can choose the School/Work Program which helps prepare them to enter the work force directly from school. The courses at Reservoir District Secondary College are organised in such a way that students in the first year of their VCE can undertake Unit 3 and 4 (or Year 12) subjects. This allows students to maximise their Equivalent National Tertiary Entrance Ranking (ENTER), while also enabling them to get valuable experience in tackling the School Assessed Course Work which will be important in determining the courses which are open to students after they leave school. The staff at Reservoir District Secondary College are experienced, committed and supportive. They have an excellent understanding of the demands of students, and are able to assist students not only academically but also in areas such as study skills, organisation and time management. The excellent VCE pass rate the college has achieved over a number of years is evidence of this. The College also offers all students a wide range of sporting and performing arts activities. We have outstanding facilities and equipment.
