Our focus is on experimentation in performance-live art, contemporary performance, adventurous theatre, dance, music, sound-photomedia, film, video, interactive media and hybrid arts. Founded in 1994 by Managing Editors Virginia Baxter and Keith Gallasch, for 21 years RealTime was a highly successful bi-monthly print magazine, distributed across Au... stralia and available online since 1996 and with E-ditions commencing in 2009. Since 2016, RealTime has appeared exclusively online. RealTime's E-ditions and website offer a comprehensive view of Australian contemporary art with an international perspective, featuring weekly-updated reviews, previews, interviews, opinion pieces, festival reports and video and sound content. RealTime's extensive archive documents a remarkable period of innovation and experimentation in Australian art from the magazine's founding in 1994 to the present.
