"We sell fund raising programs to youth groups of all types, including school groups, sports teams, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Little Leagues, Pop Warner Football, Youth Hockey, Youth Soccer and church groups," said Mr. Lewis, whose father Stephen V. Lewis is the firm's president. Although they haven't made Ready Jell for more than 30 years, Ready Fund Raising includes lots of other goodies in their fund raising programs, such as Hershey's and M&M's candies and popular gift items that are geared to seasonal selling at Christmas and Easter. "The need is very much the same as it has always been for the groups we sell to. They need to raise funds in order to continue their activities," said Mr. Lewis, III. "But perhaps we see many more school groups than before because of shrinking school budgets. Often students will use our programs to raise money for field trips, class trips or for sports teams that are no longer funded by the school district." In addition, many day care groups and child care agencies purchase Ready Fund raising programs to raise money for projects, such as new playgrounds and equipment. Through mail order and telemarketing, fund raising organizations in all 50 states are approached. Shipments are made either from our 30,000 square foot warehouse in Troy, New York or drop shipped from regional warehouses around the country, when necessary.
