About Reading Recycled

Did you know that having access to books in the home is a stronger predictor of later academic achievement than socio-economic status? Yet, studies have shown 61% of low-income families dont have any age appropriate books in their homes. There are many, many children who have the potential for academic and professional achievement, but are stifled by a lack of the basic resources conducive to early learning. The goal of Reading Recycled is to change that. Recycled, takes new and gently used book donations and distributes them to these children. Give the books to families, churches, shelters, schools, and any other place a child might want to read (like the laundromat, etc) Continually research new avenues to get these books to the children who need them the most!
