Reactive Downhole Tools

Highly Engaged Employees

Reactive Downhole Tools has been developing swellable elastomers since 2012, before commercialising in 2012. The company offers over 200 individual swelling elastomer compounds, each with different characteristics, letting the company tailor specific compounds to individual reservoirs. Ultimately, the company ensures that each and every deployment... provides the optimum solution. The Reactive Swellometer is a proprietary software package which allows for the selection of the best compound for each application. Once a compound has been selected, the company manufactures prototype packers and test in full scale in conditions - as close to those of the reservoir as possible. The company's on-site test facility gives the company the ability to test several packers consecutively - and quickly confirm compound selection - before manufacturing each element. Reactive's testing regime consists of: Swell speed testing - to confirm safe deployment window Single element differential pressure testing Multiple stacked element differential pressure testing Pressure up to 20,000 Psi @ up to 400 F To ensure accurate results and the maintenance of short lead times, the company's facility is operational 24 hours each day. The company believes in the transparency of testing and welcome the company's customers to come along and witness the company's tests.Read More
