Prof. Shani was awarded the 2009 Israel Prize for a lifetime of exemplary public service, and for being the guiding light and father figure for medicine and the health system of Israel. Prof. Shani was director general of the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer for 33 years; served two terms as director general of the Ministry of Health; was the a... rchitect of the 1994 reform of Israels health system; was a key player in the creation of the landmark Patients Bill of Rights; was co-founder of the Alut Israel Association for Autism; was chairman of the all-powerful Pharmaceuticals Approval Council in the Ministry of Health; and founded the Ziering National Center for Newborn Screening. Yoram Feldman MBA, B.Eng, is the Director of ReAbility Tele-Rehab Technologies at Gertner Institute. He has overall responsibility for the group. Prior to joining ReAbility, Yoram was an Application Group Manager in Texas Instruments Israel and Texas Instruments Sunnyvale, California, US. Yoram holds a BEng degree from the University of Warwick, UK and MBA from the Kellogg-Recanati Executive MBA program of Tel Aviv University and Northwestern University in Chicago. Miri Chared, BSc in Life Sciences from Tel Aviv University, is in charge of the ReAbility Tele-Rehab programs implementation at the Israeli medical institutions and the infrastructure development for the Tele-Rehab service. Miri brings with her experience in development/management of processes and procedures for market research, implementation of technical support and customer service systems, establishment of informational management and analytical support systems as well as management and coordination of clinical trials. Her career includes working as a Clinical Study Coordinator at Clalit Health Services and Marketing Research analyst covering North Americas generic pharmaceutical market at Plantex USA, a Teva subsidiary.
