Raywatt

Raywatt is dedicated to providing the ultimate solutions to long-range wireless light power charging and high speed/resolution light imaging. We focus on the development of optical technologies to find innovative solutions for next-generation wireless optical power transmission in IoT sensors and mobile devices, and to find medical benefits of ligh... t imaging in clinical settings. To understand the most important issues and problems in medicine, biology, and ICT, we take multidiscipline approaches which are sometimes outside of normal engineering boundaries and try to reach solutions based on a new understanding of diverse and complex situations. Dr. Jinyong Ha founded Raywatt and currently serves as CEO. Dr. Ha is also an Associate Professor in the department of electrical engineering at Sejong University. He received his PhD (2008) in electrical engineering from the University of Cambridge where he conducted research activities in the area of optical communication systems. To move his career from optical telecommunications to biomedical imaging, he joined the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in October 2008. Prior to joining Sejong in 2013, he was a research staff member at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology. His research interests include biomedical photonic imaging and wireless optical power transfer systems. Mr. Seungwan Lee serves as CTO. Prior to Raywatt, Mr. Lee worked for Samsung Electronics and Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology for more than 25 years. He was a development manager for optical passive components and research staff member for developing MEMS cameras and OCT probes. He holds a BS in Physics from Kyung Hee University and a MS degree from Kyungpook National University. Dr. Hyoseok Yi serves as COO. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in physics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 1997, 1999, and 2004, respectively.
