Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development

Established in September 2004, Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation(RSLDC) promotes appropriate livelihood opportunities for State's fast increasing yet economically weak, working population. RSLDC was constituted with a clear objective of addressing the needs of rising unemployment and underemployment in the State of Rajasthan.... It also endeavors to fulfill the Government's larger vision of attaining an inclusive economic growth. Recently, RSLDC has been registered as a company not for profit under section 25 of the companies Act 1956. The company is headed by Shri M.L.Mehta,IAS (Retd.), Former Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur. At present Shri Giri Raj Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary, Labour & Employment, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur is on the Board of Directors. Shri Gaurav Goyal is Managing Director. In order to provide a systematic guidance and information, and also to explore the possibility of overseas placement, Government of Rajasthan has decided to establish Overseas Placement Bureau, Rajasthan under the aegis of Rajasthan Mission on Skill and Livelihoods, Jaipur. The Mission of overseas Placement Bureau is to train, tune, trim, equip, facilitate and develop human resources of the State for desired occupations/ jobs in such a way that they are globally acceptable for employment. Secondly, to bring the overseas employers and the aspiring youth together by eliminating unauthorized and unscrupulous private placement agencies. The Board of Directors RSLDC in its meeting held on 22nd September 2011 has resolved and approved the establishment of Overseas Placement Bureau under the aegis of Rajasthan Mission on Skill and Livelihoods (RSLDC) for undertaking recruitment of workers for the overseas employment and other welfare activities for emigrant workers as one of its main objectives of memorandum of association.
