Moreno, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP R+O Studio was founded by Roberto Barreto , MArch , and Omar Moreno , AIA, NCARB, LEED AP - both graduat... es from the University of Florida with Master's Degrees in Architecture. Since 1997, Mr. Barreto and Mr. Moreno have been working together in one capacity or another. Shortly after graduating from UF, Roberto and Omar opened a small wood and metal shop, designing and constructing furniture and small scale architectural components. The sensibilities of design and construction learned at the shop have since carried over despite the current projects' increase in scale. It is R+O Studio's dogmatic approach to design in detailing - common to furniture design - that resonates in their architecture. However, it is their approach to customer service and professional commitment to the project that has made them one of Miami's best design firms. Roberto Barreto, MArch was recognized at UF for his capacity in design and understanding of contemporary modern architecture wining merits for his work every semester. Roberto's passion for design opened the doors to some of Miami's top design firms, eventually working as project manager and designer on a number of high profile - award winning projects. Before opening R+O Studio Roberto was part of the design team at a local firm recognized for over 50 design award and "Firm of the Year" by the AIA. Roberto brings the same passion for contemporary modern architecture that made him a sought out designer to R+O Studio as Managing Principal for Design and Production - he is committed to offering a quality of design equal to the quality of service R+O Studio is quickly gaining a reputation for.
