Meaning Where the Healers are, Natawiwewak was formed via First Nations partnership with Quest Health to find creative solutions to the many challenges in providing adequate health care in the remote communities of Northern Manitoba. Critically underserviced, Indigenous Northern Manitoba communities are facing epidemic physical and mental health cr... ises. Our team of Physicians and Mental Wellness Clinicians provide essential health care, both in the community and in Winnipeg through our clinic and Health Centre, making a positive impact on the overall quality of life of those we serve. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we will be suspending all of our Natawiwewak Mindfulness Psychoeducational Programs until May 11th, 2020 pending further notice. However, we will still be accepting referrals for this one-week program. Mental Wellness Clinicians will no longer be travelling to the partnering communities of Chemawawin, Gods Lake Narrows, Oxford House and Gods River, these communities are restricting entry to only essential workers at this time.
