My name is Eric Au and I am the founder of Quasar Technologies Inc. Since entering the legal technology industry in 2003, I have gained a wealth of field experience, having worked at eDiscovery service providers (IKON Office Solutions), Am Law 50 law firms (Sullivan & Cromwell/Skadden Arps), global investment bank (UBS Investment Bank), and large c... onsulting firms (Navigant). Prior to working in the legal technology field, I worked as a software developer. I have a BA in Management Information Systems from the University of Hawaii, MS in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University and a MBA from Columbia Business School. My area of expertise is in electronic discovery, data governance, and information risk management. I have over 15 years of legal technology and project management experience and have managed many large complex legal matters. I have provided best practices guidance to clients in all facets of eDiscovery -- from early case assessment through data processing/document review and document production. Additionally, I have helped a great number of corporate clients manage their data and identify potential areas of vulnerability within their corporate data sources. Part of the analysis process entails conducting a current state and future state assessment and gap analysis of the client's workflow/processes/data infrastructure. Since cost control is often a high priority for many if not all clients, I strive to identify opportunities for cost reduction in my client engagements.
