Quarter Midget Association

QMA is an organization whose existence wouldn't be possible without members who have a true love for and dedication to the sport of quarter midget racing. Our members all work hard and recognize the value that this sport brings to their families. That love of the sport and dedication doesn't end there. Our local, regional and national officers all... have this same passion and desire. We all work relentlessly to improve and advance our sport. As National Board Members, our primary function is overseeing the day to day operations of this organization. Our vision and scope must be broad and we must look at the overall picture, across all clubs and across the whole country. Problems are discussed, solutions are seriously considered from all angles and most importantly, positive and negative effects of the solutions are always taken into account. Our ultimate goal and focus always has been, and always will be, the betterment of QMA. We continuously strive to improve our States and Grands events. We have asked ourselves "What can we do to facilitate attendance at these events?". In March, we proactively reached out to our Club Presidents and asked for feedback from their members on these key issues. We received responses from many clubs across the country, and, not surprisingly, the primary reasons for members not attending were location and travel expenses. The National Board and RDs have openly discussed the issues and have considered a variety of solutions to increase car counts and competition and to lighten some of the financial burden to our families who truly do want to race with the "best of the best across the country". The National Board, with input from the RDs, have implemented a plan of action for the 2016 States and Grands Events which include: 1."Event memberships" will be offered to non-QMA members for the 2016 racing season at all National Grands and States Race Events. 2.Hardship fees of $150 per car will be waived for all 2016 Grand National Event attendees.
