Mr. Karl George Sr., President and CEO, began his career at the Perkin Elmer Corporation in 1962. He was directly involved in the development of what was then innovative Technology, such as broadband AR coatings, laser line mirrors, filters, and rain erosion resistant coatings. He also led the team which coated the primary mirror in the Hubble Spac... e Telescope. Today, QTF offers a wide range of optical components and laser crystal coatings from the UV to the far IR. Our emphasis is on high quality, on time delivery, and excellent customer service. Our state of the art facility encompasses 14,000sq-ft. and includes fully equipped fabrication, polishing, and metrology departments, as well as a large, 8-chamber coating lab supported by a large cleanroom, QA inspection and testing areas. When Mr. George decided to start his own firm, Quality Thin Films, Inc. he intended to run a specialized operation catering to the most difficult challenges and handling his clients in his personal, engaging manner. Mr. George personally oversees the design phase of new products and all coating designs ensuring that QTF standards are met from the beginning.
