Q Synthesis

Q Synthesis develops and implements systems-based quality improvement (QI) initiatives that are tailored based on local variables and customized for different clinical practice settings. These practice-based improvement projects follow the Active Implementation Framework that includes: The What: Effective Interventions (Innovations) Effective Imple... mentation Methods (The Who, When, and How) The Need for Enabling Contexts Dr. Kim facilitates focus groups, workshops, and delivers interactive presentations that engage members of the multidisciplinary care team to close gaps between local policies and clinical practice behaviors. Dr. Kim has been an active member of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEhp). In 2017, he joined the Alliance Board of Directors. Previously, he chaired the Technology Committee (2012-2013), served as a member of the Education Committee (2014-2015), and was a recipient of the ACEhp President's Award (2011, 2014, and 2015) and the Distinguished Member Award (2014). Dr. Kim also served as the President of the National Association of Medical Education Companies (NAMEC) from 2012-2014 and was on the NAMEC Board of Directors from 2009-2014. Dr. Kim has served as faculty for the American Association for Physician Leadership (formerly known as the American College of Physician Executives). He has written articles for the Physician Leadership Journal (formerly known as the Physician Executive Journal). Dr. Kim holds a BS in engineering from MIT, an MD from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine, an MPH from UMass Amherst School of Public Health, and an MBA from Saint Joseph's University.Read More
