PTS Laboratories, Inc. is a core analysis service company that has a proven track record with the domestic and international energy companies since 1964. The professionals at PTS have developed many techniques over the past four decades that are the industry standard today. Historically, PTS has specialized in soft sediment core evaluation. The company has developed many documented handling techniques, laboratory protocols, and industry standards which have taken the industry beyond expectations in soft sediment core management. PTS pioneered the use of dry ice freezing and epoxy stabilization of core in the soft sediments of Southern California and the oil and gas fields of offshore Gulf of Mexico. These innovative core handling techniques were later followed by the development of horizontal band saw slabbing by PTS.
