PT Plus Physical Therapy was founded 2004 by co-owners Trent Schell, PA/ATC, and Troy Waltemath, PTA. The pair became friends when Trent had returned from PA school in AZ. and began working as a Physicians Assistant in an orthopedic setting, and Troy began to treat some of his patients. The two began PT Plus Physical Therapy because they wanted to... help an undeserved area that had lost their hospital, and a much needed physical therapy clinic. PT Plus Physical Therapy would keep patients from driving up to thirty minutes for care that they desperately needed. The company has expanded to three separate locations that includes, Augusta, Andover, and West Wichita. Their therapists expertise is in outpatient orthopedics, geriatric conditions, work comp injuries, and back pain, both chronic and acute. Trent and Troy have served on various community development boards such as the YMCA, Augusta Progress Inc., Augusta and Andover Chamber of Commerce, Augusta Airport Advisory Board, and coached various sports such as wrestling, football, baseball and softball. They have helped extensively with programs such as saving the Augusta Train Depot, The Augusta Senior Citizens Center, The YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign, and participated in donations for the Butler Community College's new stadium project.
