Prospect Asset Management, Inc (PAMI) was founded in 1994 by Curtis Freeze as a Japan focused Investment Advisor. It has a strong long-term track record including managing two of the best performing Japan funds over the past five years. In August 2013 Prospect Co., Ltd. was acquired in a share swap by Gro-Bels Co., Ltd., a listed Japanese real estate developer, and in 2014 the two merged and changed the surviving entity's name to Prospect Co., Ltd. Prospect employs nearly 200 people and is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (ticker 3528). Prospect Co., Ltd. has a real estate development division and an equity research division. Among its subsidiaries are PAMI, a SEC registered U.S Investment Advisory company, and Prospect Asset Management (Channel Islands) Ltd. a Guernsey registered Investment Manager. Prospect's strategy is to capitalize on opportunities arising from structural changes in Japan. In 2002 Prospect was the first foreign firm to be granted a JREIT management license with its portfolio listing in 2005. The group has a seasoned investment team with over 100 years of combined experience. Prospect manages mandates on behalf of a sovereign wealth fund, a large fund of funds and a family office. These mandates include funds of J-REITS, Japanese equities and direct real estate investments.
