Who is Project Hospitality
Founded in 1985 as an interfaith, all-volunteer effort to provide food and shelter to homeless people in the Staten Island Ferry Terminal, Project Hospitality has grown to serve more than 30,000 of Staten Island's most marginalized residents every year. It is Project Hospitality's mission to reach out to community members who are hungry, homeless or otherwise in need, in order to work with them to achieve their self-sufficiency and advocate on their behalf. Project Hospitality's compassionate continuum of care includes food, clothing and shelter, health and mental health services, substance use treatment, HIV care, domestic violence and immigrant services, educational and vocational training, transitional and permanent housing, legal and financial assistance and opportunities for at-risk youth.Read More
