Probat is a medium-sized group of companies headquartered in Emmerich am Rhein, Germany. As a global supplier of machines, plants and control technology solutions, Probat's core line of business is split into two divisions: coffee and cocoa/chocolate. Both of these divisions have several production, distribution and service centres around the world... . In the coffee segment, Probat's company's key cornerstones - research, development and design - are concentrated at Probat's headquarters. Probat's central production facility is located there too and manufactures the majority of PROBAT machines and plants. Probat also run production facilities at sites belonging to Probat's subsidiaries Bauermeister (Germany), PROBAT Burns (USA) and PROBAT Leogap (Brazil). As well as manufacturing machines and plants for their local markets, the two subsidiaries in North and South America serve as distribution and service centres for their region. The PROBAT Group also operates another three distribution and service centres around the world which provide first-class customer care: Brugger (Italy), PROBAT Asia (Philippines) and PROBAT Kaapi (India). Following the integration of the Ladco Group (Scotland) in the cocoa/chocolate division, the newly created company Hamburg Dresdner Maschinenfabrik is the only supplier in the world which can deliver all the components needed throughout the process chain from cocoa beans to the finished bar of chocolate.
