Price Structural Engineers, Inc. (PSE) was formed in 1999 with a focus on providing efficient and practical structural engineering design and clear structural detailing. Members of our firm have an extensive background in computer analysis and structural design of complex systems. Both David Price and Teresa Price have a Master's Degree in structur... al engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Together they have a broad range of design experience in commercial, industrial, and residential structures. Previous projects include not only new construction but also renovation of existing buildings, restoration of historic structures, and inspection at areas exhibiting signs of structural distress. Structural AutoCAD and Revit drafting services are provided in-house and review documents are issued electronically to facilitate coordination throughout the design phase. Currently, PSE uses AutoCAD 2017 for conventional 2-dimensional structural drawings (although earlier AutoCAD releases are compatible) and Revit for 3-dimensional drafted modeling. MasterSpec is used for the development of project specifications. Prior to being issued for final approval, structural documents are reviewed for compatibility with other project-related requirements and constructibility in the field. PSE makes use of state-of-the-art structural engineering software, including the most recent versions of STAAD-Pro, Ram (Steel, Concrete, Frame, Concept, Elements, and Foundation modules), and MathCad, to ensure that engineering work is performed efficiently with careful consideration of project requirements. STAAD-Pro has the versatile ability to not only analyze forces in complex 3-dimensional structures but also to size members of steel, reinforced concrete, or timber.
