For the past fifteen years, Premier Business Print (and former Globe Print) has been proudly manufacturing thermal ticket rolls for Auckland's leading ferry operator, Fullers. Recently this partnership was further cemented - and taken to a whole new level - with Premier winning the three-year contract to supply all Fullers' ticketing requirements.F... ullers' customer services manager, Lesley Simpson says Premier's professional approach and willingness to work around the company's specific requirements impressed her right from the start. "They weren't pushy and were prepared to work with us when we were ready," says Lesley. "As well as coming in with a cost-effective price, they offered some better solutions to ticketing than we had had for years. Providing ferry transport to more than four million passengers every year, Fullers also operates regular commuter services plus a range of other products such as harbour cruises and charters. Dealing with such high numbers and product variety meant overcoming a number of ticketing challenges, says Lesley. Firstly, it was vital the tickets had a consistent, streamlined look and were strategically designed to benefit both Fullers and its passenger needs. "There was a lot of wasted space on our previous tickets - the team from Premier worked with us through all our tickets to maximise available space, and take out or add information as needed."Secondly, smart ticketing solutions are crucial to making large events dealing with very high passenger volumes a success. Lesley says Premier's innovative yet simple solution of providing wristbands - instead of conventional tickets - at the recent Devonport Food and Wine Festival helped make the administration process easier on the day. "We've never had the opportunity to use wristbands before, and it was great.
