Our contributions toward safety in the mining sector are varied. With three fully qualified Noise Officers in our staff, we are able to efficiently conduct Workplace Noise Surveys in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards. Not only do we carry out the surveys in a timely manner, but we also produce a detailed report for the client, in conformance with Resources Safety guidelines. In addition to carrying out Noise Surveys, we offer consultancy services to aid in the management and reduction of noise in the work place. If you are considering hiring a Noise Officer for your own company, Precision Acoustics runs a specialised training course. The course is based on the requirements set out in AS/NZS 1269 and is accredited by the Resources Safety Division of the Dept. of Mining and Petroleum. Successful completion of this course will lead to national registration as a Noise Officer. We are able to conduct onsite training if there is a sufficient number of attendees. To complete the package, Precision Acoustics also calibrates and sells a range of high quality Sound Level Meters and can help you find a meter that is suitable for your needs and budget.
