Pratt Place Barn

Next to the births of our two little girls, my wedding was literally the best day of my life. I married my sweetie, I was surrounded by my closest family and friends, and the ambiance was spectacular. Of course, no one would dare complain about anything to the bride, but I would venture to say that all of the guests enjoyed June 8, 2014 at Pratt Pl... ace Barn in Fayetteville, AR--at least I really really hope so. :) One reason and perhaps the main component of how smoothly the day went is due to the professionalism and dedication of my own wedding coordinator, Lauren Frost. You see, I had planned for my wedding ceremony to be outside for the entire year of my engagement, when all along the Man Upstairs had a different plan, because it rained and rained and rained all day long. When Lauren came to deliver the flowers, you could tell she was as sick as me about the rain. She was sweet and patient and let me have my meltdown in peace. I can laugh now, a month later, but at the time, I was devastated. She looked me in the eye and promised me that the day was not ruined and that my wedding would still be just as beautiful as I had imagined it in my dreams. At that moment, I truly understood what it meant to be a wedding coordinator. You have to wear many hats--and still maintain a sense of calmness and tranquility, and serve as the bride's therapist too. Lauren did it with ease and has inspired me to take on the event planning/wedding coordinator world myself. I couldn't be more grateful for Lauren and her right hand woman, Ladatha, of La La's Events . Every bride, no matter who she is, needs a day of wedding coordinator. I don't know how I would have survived without one. I want to be able to give the same positive experience to my brides and hostesses. That is the plan. :)Read More
