Kansas-made products, healthful whole foods, gluten free snacks and mixes, along with bulk spices, coffees and teas, household cleaning, personal care and gift items. In addition to our retail store, there are also a variety of prepared options made fresh daily in our kitchen. Available in the self-serve deli are homemade hot soups and entrees, wraps and sandwiches, fresh salads, and fruit smoothies. And of course, our bakery offers hand made breads, bars, and other sweet treats. Prairy Market & Deli, formally known as Prairie Harvest, has been a local tradition since the turn of the century. Becky Nickel founded the store in 2000 in downtown Newton with Kathy Landis, later joined by Carrie Van Sickle. With an initial focus on bulk and organic foods, in addition to some gluten free mixes and pastas, the store has expanded its product offering several times over the years.
