Walter B. Stallings and a partner opened the doors in 1953 in Oklahoma City to Power Equipment Incorporated. Although there were other competitors in town, Walt and his partner felt that they could offer something unique and valuable to the customers of the area. Though the hard work and sleepless nights that accompany any successful new business,... they slowly gained customer after customer. Providing local inventory and application expertise were key then and are still hallmarks of the way the company does business. In 1968 Walt and his partner went their separate ways and Power Equipment & Engineering Inc. was formed. The company continued to grow and in 1973 Jon Stallings came to work for the company after returning from Vietnam. Jon is a West Point graduate and holds a mechanical engineering degree. Walt retired from active management of the company in 1978 when Jon was promoted to president and has served in that role since. We have been very fortunate to have served many customers in many ways since opening our doors almost 60 years ago.
