The Potato King, Inc. was founded in 1958, as a Potato wholesaler and re-packer. The company's customer basis consisted of local families and farms around the La Crosse area. The company eventually found the company's niche within the community when the company began supplying grocery stores with potatoes from northern Wisconsin. The 1970's brought... great change when the company grew to maintain a full line of fresh produce. The company's small underground cooler facility soon became insufficient to meet the demand of the company's customers. Little by little the family farm has grown into the company's current shipping & storing facility. The company's customers now enjoy a product list of over 1000-items & pack-sizes that are continuously re-stocked from growers worldwide, to provide the highest grade product on the market at all times. The company purchased the company's first tractor-trailer in 1987, but the company now take pride in the company's nearly 80-tractor fleet.
