Poltrona Frau SpA, established in 1912 by Renzo Frau in Turin, Italy, is a premier manufacturer specializing in high-end leather seating for interior and automotive applications. The company, headquartered in Tolentino, maintains a reputation for exhaustive quality standards and artisanal craftsmanship. By integrating traditional techniques with modern design, the firm has solidified its position as a leader in the global luxury furniture market.

The company distinguishes itself through a rigorous 21-step leather tanning process, ensuring full-grain leather is dyed through to prevent surface scratches from revealing underlying linings. Approximately 95% of their product portfolio is manufactured by hand, reflecting a commitment to precision. With a workforce of 500-1,000 employees, Poltrona Frau SpA manages an extensive operational footprint, including 70 brand stores across 65 countries, catering to both residential and commercial sectors.

Since 2004, the organization has expanded significantly, acquiring brands such as Cappellini, Cassina, and Alias to form the Poltrona Frau Group. In 2014, the Haworth Group acquired a controlling interest in the company, further strengthening its international market presence.
