Ive spent more than 19 years helping companies and organizations address complex legal issues, particularly through litigation. As a result of this work, I can not only help resolve disputes when they arise, but also help clients identify and proactively avoid potential problems. My passion for helping growing businesses and entrepreneurs comes from watching family members start, run, and grow businesses and being a business owner myself. Because of this, I know how important high-quality legal services are for a growing business and how important it is to have someone who can identify potential problems, think through the ramifications of different courses of action, and identify the best solutions. After graduating from Oberlin College, I worked on issues related to public health in the Bronx for a number of years before attending and graduating from New York University School of Law. I was an associate at the preeminent Manhattan law firm Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP, where I represented biotechnology companies, rating agencies, investment banks, and insurance companies. Later, I spent almost 12 years at a boutique litigation firm, Schindler Cohen & Hochman LLP. During my time there, I handled numerous partnership disputes, fraud claims, breach of contract claims, copyright claims, and real estate disputes. My clients included financial institutions, software companies, not-for-profit entities, unions, and high net worth individuals.
