For over 20 years we have been running Junior matches for our younger members. Currently we run a series of Summer matches which predominantly take place on our waters (Brownlee's and Whitegate) with a commercial fishery also included. For a few years now through local sponsorship, we have been able to run the matches with no charge to the Junior m... ember (or his/her Mum & Dad). To get on a match, again go to the contact page and speak to Frank Davies our Chairman. Places are on a first come first served basis. Don't worry if you have little or no experience at fishing, although they are matches, they are also a place to learn best practice. We have our own Level 2 coach and Level 1 coaches along with other senior members (all have been CRB checked) who will be happy to assist. Not only are the matches free, we also provide food and refreshment free of charge. On our waters this usually means a B-B-Q with Hot Dogs and Burgers and soft drinks to wash them down! If you are a Junior member have a look in your licence or on the matches page of our website (then scroll down match page to find Junior matches) to see when the matches start, we would love to see you. We also from time to time have other events on a county basis, Juniors who have fished matches may have an opportunity to go on to other matches. Wherever possible at little or no cost.
