Plum Building Systems, LLC (Plum) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilcrest/Jewett Lumber Company, a building products supplier in Waukee, Iowa. Since 1995, Plum has served the Midwest as a full-service building component supplier. Plum has developed a philosophy deeply rooted in delivering superior value to our customers. The strategy includes offering a full line of building components (roof and floor trusses, wall panels, stairway systems, floor decks, and engineered wood products) and an up-front technical sales staff. We maintain strong relationships with our customers in the 2-step distribution channel. This strategy continues to be rooted in close partner relationships within the supply chain and their customers. Today, Plum operates its manufacturing facility in Osceola, Iowa. This facility, supported by a satellite sales office in Waukee, Iowa, distributes products to Iowa and surrounding states. Our sales and design staff provide our customers expert technical solutions. Our products are used in single or multi-family residential, agricultural, and commercial structures; apartments, strip malls, and any other applications that call for wooden building components. We never stop listening to what our customers want. In 2003 we branded Plum Design Services as the technical division of Plum Building Systems to keep up with our customers' demands for quality, custom residential and stock home plans.
