Within the first few months at Church Mutual, I was tasked with creating a roadmap to standardize IT policies based on the 20 CIS controls. I worked cross-functionality within IT to understand the current baseline of each control grounded on established policies and understanding our current maturity level. After this was identified, a minimum viable target centered around meeting the spirit of each control was formed. Since starting this process, Ive worked with the project management team to continue to drive the maturity improvement score as well as ensure policies were established for each of the controls. Aside from IT Controls, the next project I focused on was establishing Role Based Identity Management.
