We started as a small 3-house wholesale business which over the years has grown into one of New England's largest wholesale gre... enhouse businesses. Pleasant View Gardens was founded by Jon and Eleanor Huntington who started out managing a popular, family-owned fruit and vegetable stand in Connecticut that would attract customers from miles away each weekend. While vacationing in the beautiful New Hampshire countryside in 1976, Jon and Eleanor were presented with a business opportunity they couldn't resist. So in December of that same year, they purchased Pleasant View Gardens, what was then a small, 3-house wholesale foliage business located in Loudon, New Hampshire. At the time, building a nationally recognized liner and finished plant business and helping to create a leading plant brand were the furthest things from their minds. They simply wanted a better life and more opportunity for their family. Over three decades later, Pleasant View Gardens has accomplished all that and more, and our focus remains where it always has been: providing the finest plants possible to fully satisfied customers wherever they are. In 1992, we introduced the Proven Winners® brand with a bold vision to provide consumers with the very best. Over the past 20 years, our Proven Winners name has become well known for being the best, most unique, and highest performing plants in the marketplace. Along with our Proven Winners varieties, we also offer Proven Selections®, regional favorites that are ideal for gardeners in the North Central and Northeastern parts of the country.
