About Place
The Place to Go, a non-profit organization, offers the state's only free after-school program, Kids Together, located in Peterborough, NH. Since 1996 it has provided a safe environment for children in grades 3-8, where they are warmly received and supervised. The Kids Together program continues to grow, even in these difficult times. We are considered one of the top two (free) programs in the state. The economic uneasiness that has touched so many of us has hit working families with young children among the hardest. The Place to Go, Kids Together program supports approximately 40 children representing a cross section of the Peterborough area population. They meet in three sessions each week. Some children are referred to the program by school social workers and teachers, while others are latch-key children whose parents cannot be home during after-school hours.Explore more
