About Pittsburgh Design Services
PDS Crane Service was started in 1977 as a spin-off of Pittsburgh Design Services, Inc. The company was created to provide installation, repair and inspection services for the overhead cranes and material handling equipment manufactured by Pittsburgh Design Services as well as outside customers. The company has grown to now have over 400 active customers. All of our service technicians and inspectors undergo both technical and safety training to ensure our customers are provided with both reliable and safely executed service of their equipment. Training and years of experience in the service and repair of all major brands of cranes and hoists provides our customers with timely repairs and more reliable operation. Our Safety Training Program includes instruction in Lockout / Tagout Procedures, Fork Lift Operation, Arial Lift / Bucket Truck Operation, Fall Protection, Electrical and Fire Safety.
