It all began in 1983 when two Danes Annemette Markvad and Thomas Adamsen translated their unique empathy and innovative energy into designing jewellery, sold mainly at festivals. With a great love of music and people, they created jewellery that reflected their deeply held values of spontaneity, intimacy and authenticity. Pilgrim jewellery was, and... remains, truly of the moment. Thomas and I were not business people, and we began Pilgrim very much from the heart. From the beginning, we had two key missions. One was to create beautiful jewellery that makes you feel beautiful. The other was to build a workplace where every employee enjoyed coming to work and where respect, responsibility and trust were cherished values put into practice each day. Annemette Markvad, Founder Jewellery is our passion; it is all about dreams, style, heart and soul. We take pride in keeping the brand authentic staying true to who we are and where we came from. Pilgrim is still about going out and seeking new things, new ways and new adventures. It is not only the destination that matters, but also how we get there. We are a living brand in constant motion and development. It has been an amazing journey, and Pilgrim has become a recognised international brand, with a Scandi-cool approach to design.
