About Pilates Method Alliance
The Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) is the not-for-profit professional association dedicated to the Pilates field. Since its inception in 2001, Pilates teachers from around the world have worked together to create a unified community, to share knowledge and information, and most importantly, to establish the practice of teaching Pilates as a profession. The Alliance is comprised of paying members, the vast majority of whom are career Pilates teachers, studio owners, Pilates school owners and faculty, or all of the above. The volunteer Board of Directors that govern the PMA come from that same demographic and are democratically elected by the members. The Alliance is managed and administered by a salaried staff based in Miami, Florida.Explore more
