PianoFight

PIANOFIGHT was formed by Rob Ready, Dan Williams and Kevin Fink in 2007. After completing a $1.2 million fundraising campaign, 10% of which was crowd-funded through the largest Theater Kickstarter for a New Live Performance Venue ever, PianoFight has completed its home at 144 Taylor Street in San Francisco. The venue contains three rehearsal spaces... , two black box theaters (42-seater and a 92-seater), and a full restaurant and bar with a cabaret stage. Since its inception, PianoFight has successfully managed venues (Off-Market Theater Complex); created the largest audience-judged playwriting competition in the country (ShortLived); instigated a fully-scripted, choose-your-own-ending play series (FORKING!); recklessly invited audiences to Throw Rotten Veggies at the Actors Nights; formed two critically acclaimed sketch comedy groups (Mission CTRL and Chardonnay); toured the coast of California (Endless Weekend Tour I & II); created a surf rock band (Das Haus Band) and a soul band (PianoFight Music Department); launched a film department that retains corporate and artistic clients; and built a three-man producing team into a 48-member company of artists while staying true to its mission of producing New Work by New Artists .
