PhilDHRRA is implementing two components of the V2V PIPELOG: Component 1 - Mapping of civil sociey organizations (CSOs) and Component 2 - Strengthening of the Local Special Bodies (LSBs). The objective of mapping and profiling CSOs is to be able to identify possible areas of partnership between the CSOs and LGUs and will cover a sample of CSOs nati... onwide. For Component 2, training modules for the four LSBs (i.e., Local Development Council, Local School Board, Local Health Board, Local Peace and Order Council) will be developed and pilot tested. These modules aim to enhance the capacity of CSOs and other LSB members in effective planning, budgeting, program implementation, monitoring and evaluation. PhilDHRRA developed three tools - Profiling, Training Needs Analysis, and Volunteer Program Analysis. TNA and VPA tools will serve as inputs in Components 2 and 3 of the program. A database for the CSO profiles was also developed. Pre-testing of the tools was conducted in Albay and Agusan del Sur from March 16 to 23. The objective of the pre-test was to enhance the draft profiling tools and test the opereational strategy for conducting the nationwide survey. The activity was supported by DILG Regions V and XIII. From April to May 2011, Training on CSO Mapping was conducted. A total of ____participants were able to join the four (4) batches of trainings composed of DILG Cluster Leaders as well as representatives from the DILG Regional Offices and CSO members who will act as Regional Survey Coordinators during the nationwide survey. The first training was held in Royal Mandaya Hotel in Davao City and the succeeding trainings were held at the Local Government Academy Training Center in Los Banos.
