Phase V Technologies

Phase V Technologies (Phase V) operates as a patient-reported outcomes and remote patient monitoring "central laboratory" for investigators during clinical trials and research investigations. The Phase V study team also works with sponsors and health care providers to incorporate appropriate patient-reported assessments in the research or health ca... re program. In drug and device development, such programs might include a single Phase II trial, or a comprehensive Phase III registration program. The types of study methods employed by Phase V can also collect important information during strategic post-marketing and "real world" effectiveness programs and research. On the patient care level, Phase V provides home-health and remote patient monitoring central training and reading lab services. Phase V seeks to collaborate with researchers in a number of ways, including: Participating as a principal investigator or co-investigator for overall study design and operations Working as a medico-technical laboratory in conjunction with study investigators Providing equipment and services necessary to plan, conduct, analyze, and report the patient reported- and patient- generated outcomes component of the program Independently funds any scientific presentation and publication of the results, with review and comment (but not oversight) by the sponsor Since 2004, drawing upon its extensive patient-reported database, Phase V has developed a unique electronic diary platform combined with web-based portals and data collection platforms. These newer technologies employ the content of the traditional paper-based Phase V® Health Outcomes Information System questionnaires on quality of life, functional health status, symptoms and patient satisfaction.
