The New York Early Intervention Program (EI) provides home and community based developmental services to children, birth through 3 years of age. Personal To... uch EIP employs teams of skilled professionals who are available to travel to Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island. If after an evaluation a child is found eligible, they are entitled to receive the appropriate therapy to address their developmental needs. In New York, authorized services are provided at no cost to parents/caregivers, regardless of insurance coverage. An authorized service can include: Special Instruction, Speech/Language therapy, Feeding therapy, Occupation therapy, Physical therapy, Social Work, and Nutrition. If the child is diagnosed with Autism, or is on the Autism Spectrum, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has been identified as the treatment of choice. We have ABA specialists who will design an individualized curriculum to address each childs needs and bring forth their potential. Bilingual personnel are available when needed. Therapy can be provided at the most convenient location for each family and child. This includes settings such as the home, daycare, and community.
