Aiming to provide superior service, we have delivered positive experiences since day one, back in 1978. On April 1, 1978, Tom Tracy along... with John Brewer and Al Rossman established South Florida Diesel Corp. It secured distribution permissions for Perkins® diesel engines in South Florida. Within three years, it became the largest Perkins distributor in North America and within six years the largest Perkins® distributor in the world. In 1985 the name was changed to Perkins Power Corp (PPC) to properly label the company as the largest Perkins® Engine Distributor worldwide. By this time, PPC positioned itself correctly into the markets of Central and South America along with the Islands of the Caribbean, which resulted in a much larger market share. Today, PPC is located in a 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Jacksonville, FL. The facility offers warehouse capacity for inventory, product, and training. PPC represents the wide range of Perkins engines covering the Agricultural, Construction, Industrial, Power Generation, Aircraft Ground Support, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and Marine markets. PPCs area of responsibility now oversees the Southeastern United States and five Caribbean countries. We represent the Perkins® line for Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
