Penrith Lakes Development

Penrith Lakes established a community advisory committee (CAC) in 2007. The CAC has not met since 21 May 2008, the minutes of which are available on the Penrith Lakes website. No future meetings have been scheduled as there is currently no definitive direction on the urban development proposal and it is still being reviewed and considered at a Boar... d level. The CAC is independently facilitated by Elton Consulting. Elton Consulting specialises in social policy and planning and is a recognised leader in its field. It has been offering strategic advice and assistance to senior management in government, non-government organisations and the private sector since 1989. The Committee comprises of local residents and organisational representatives with expertise or interest in a number of fields, including community engagement and development, recreation, leisure and tourism, economic development, education, environment and heritage. Residents applied to join the committee through an open expression of interest process and sector representatives were approached based on a demonstrated interest in, or connection to, the future development of the Penrith Lakes site.
