Peninsula Iron Works has been a family owned company since 1917, when Gorge C. Johnson, a 20 year employee, entered into ownership as a stockholder. He directed and provided guidance to Peninsula Iron Works until his death in 1967, when his son Stuart B. Johnson assumed responsibility. In 1993, Janet Johnson accepted the role of president while Stu... art relinquished control of his shares to his sons; three generations representing nearly 70 years of service and leadership of the company. James Johnson now leads the business, along with his brother David Johnson, PE. The Johnson family is passionately committed to keeping business local and keeping local workers employed.
