In 1977, family-owned and operated Pemberton & Oakes, Ltd. opened for business, working with talented artists to develop imagery for the collectibles and giftware industry. We soon developed a reputation for delivering quality imagery with broad appeal, including works of world-renowned childhood artist Donald Zolan. Our success was gained through... recognizing and developing effective licensed imagery that delivers the message and increases sales for our partner licensees. Our artwork features childhood, nature, motivational and inspirational themes. Our focus has evolved from manufacturing, marketing and selling products via direct-mail, to licensing high-performance imagery to manufacturers and publishers. We also own copyrights to 112 paintings of early childhood by Donald Zolan. Through 1994 we produced fine collectible products such as plates, lithographs and figurines, helping Zolan become one of Americas best-known painters of early childhood. Our company has a unique perspective, having both licensed out our artwork and produced and marketed products based on the artwork we own.
