PCES enables students to actively participate in a democratic system by communicating and collaborating among all stakeholders as members of the student council. Students are also provided a variety of learning opportunities that focus on critical thinking and analytical skills. The school also inspires students to set and attain high expectations while maintaining strong moral character. The school's instructional program supports the academic, social, and physical development of all students. In addition, resource teachers provide an array of enrichment lessons in music, computer technology, Hawaiiana, physical education, guidance, and library media.
