Phoenix-N-Peace is committed through training and support to assist intellectual disabled, dually diagnosed adults, and adolescents to attain individual goals in areas of communication, demonstrating appropriate behaviors and learning functional skills. Phoenix-N-Peace, is based on the values that everyone deserves and needs to belong, to be loved,... to be treated with dignity and respect, to be self -directing, and to be recognized for their inherent value as a unique person. Another guiding value is the right of persons with disabilities to be a part of the community, with the same opportunities, responsibilities and quality of life as available to all citizens. The overall goal of services is to promote acceptance in the normal life of the community in which the individual resides through social integration and participation in community opportunities. Support activities produce outcomes for the individual and skills are integrated to appropriate environments. In addition, some of the Adult Day Support Programs provide special services such as health monitoring (e.g. monitoring of blood pressure) and certain types of medical care (e.g. basic wound care). In addition, Phoenix-N-Peace provides many community services such as meals on wheels, gardening, and nursing home companion, and more. Phoenix-N-Peace is a private agency-offering center & non-center based community support and a residential treatment facility for adult and adolescent individuals with physical disabilities with a primary diagnosis of intellectually disabled & mental illness. Adult Day Support Programs are designed for adults (over 18 years of age) who are physically frail, intellectually impaired or living with a chronic illness. These day or evening programs have a double focus. They are intended to provide care and support for individuals daily so they can continue living in the community.
