The core focus of MindShare in the early years was to provide a quality networking experience for those interested in growing their personal and professional careers through meaningful connections. Since 1999, the free networking events have occurred at local establishments on the third Wednesday of every month. Founder Kent Lewis believes there is... an inverse relationship between the size of a networking event and the perceived quality. For that reason, MindShare has targeted the networking events to be 30 to 50 attendees for any given month. The formula has proven true, which you can read about in our testimonials, as the larger crowds of 80 to 100 created discomfort and frustration. pdxMindShare has shifted from monthly networking events to monthly webinars to evolve to the changing needs of our constituents. We evaluated the value of the physical networking and workshops and determined that taking a digital approach will better meet everyone's logistical and schedule challenges. To ensure that every MindShare member has access to our workshops, we have switched to webinars. We do continue to partner with other organizations throughout the year for in-person networking events.
