Connecting on a personal level is an important part of sharing ideas. On this page well present some details about our organization and the people behind it. PCB Paws and Claws is an entirely volunteer based organization. Our wonderful volunteers have given so much effort and time over the past year to save more homeless and abandoned pets than eve... r before. Those pets would not be in good homes if it were not for them. Thank them for thier exceptional work! It takes many caring volunteers to provide temporary homes for our pups and kittens while they are waiting for their new forever families. These volunteers give more than just shelter. They provide time, love and care to these animals who may otherwise be in harms way out on the streets. We offer adoption services for both adult cats and kittens as well as puppies and adult dogs. Through our partners such as PetSmart, we showcase our adoptable animals and thoroughly screen each potential adopter to assure that each animal will go to a safe, loving home. Trapping community, or feral, cats and taking to them to a shelter where the only positive outcome for an animal is adoption just doesnt make sense. Although feral cats are members of the domestic cat species, they are not socialized to humans and are rarely candidates for adoption. Most animal shelters will immediately kill feral cats that come to them. This catch and kill approach is not only cruel, but ineffective, because remaining cats will move in and begin the cycle all over again. local veterinarian or clinic to be vaccinated and neutered.
