Parnell & Associates, Inc. is a family owned and operated business with roots dating back more than 48 years. The company was founded by Tom Parnell and his wife, Annette. Tom Parnell graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in civil engineering and surveying. He moved to Cambridge, Ohio in 1967 to work in construction for Hall and... Barber, an asphalt construction company. In 1972 he and his wife started a surveying and engineering company and in 1982 they added general construction work to the mix. Today, Parnell & Associates, Inc. is still a family owned and operated business, with Toms children, Larry and Penny Parnell at the helm. Penny Parnell has been with the company for 27 years. She is a graduate of Ohio Northern University and Muskingum University. She is the mother of Brandy (Ben) VanDyne and loves being a grandmother to Nash and Paisley VanDyne. She loves to volunteer and is currently on the United Way board. She has also been involved in Cambridge Main Street, Cambridge Youth Basketball League, The Living Word, The Belmont Correctional Institution Academic Advisory Board, and The Children's Dyslexia Center.
