Back in 2001, I found myself falling in love with collage art. It was a whole new and exciting discovery for me. I bought my first issue of Somerset Studio and plopped down at my art table with scissors, paper and glue. Then something amazing happened, all those antique photos I'd been squirreling away suddenly had a new purpose. I started scanning... the photos and jumped into Photoshop (which was like jumping off a cliff with no parachute - I had no idea what I was doing). After many many months and lots of tears, Photoshop and I came to a friendly understanding and I was making my first collage sheet in 2002 (Sheet 001, which, to this day, is still one of my favorites). And here we are, 17 years later and collage art and mixed media art are as wonderful to me, today, as they were when I first discovered them. Every day starts bright and early at the computer with a steaming cup of coffee going through emails and orders and organizing the activities for the day. More than likely I've crawled from my bed to my studio still wearing pajamas, which is just about the most perfect thing ever. Working from a small workshop, orders are printed and/or cut per order, fresh off the printer or the laser and done especially for you! Please note that ship times can run anywhere from 14-21 business days (and occasionally longer during busy times). The goal is to always provide customers with exceptional products and friendly personalized service. When you send an email to PaperWhimsy it doesnt funnel through several people it comes right to the Whimsy desk manned by me. Occasionally, Phillip, the tech guru and perfect husband, will lend his expertise with techie and design assistance.
